Translation: -
The roots of thoughts of unease, distress or sorrows not visible but resting since past life becomes visible and perceived in new birth of life and are experienced.
The accumulated imprints of thoughts of unease, distress and sorrows karma actions, deeds, works of past lives that are rooted in conscious mind and are not visible are perceived and experienced in the present and would be future life's. The main cause of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow is the residue of the consequences of karma deeds; works or actions embedded in the past lingering subliminal karma impressions. The karma is the main cause of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow felt by the embodied being. These lingering past subliminal karma impressions may be visible or non visible. They manifest themselves in physical life as experiences of pleasure and pain. They also manifests in the subtle mental state as likes and dislikes and emerge in the present or future lives.
These karma imprints or impressions are, however, to be born in the present life span or in future lives. The physical subliminal karma impressions, which are felt, are to be undergone in the present life span or in next life to come. The subliminal karma impressions which manifests themselves in the form of vibrations in the natural bent of mind and inclination in the cravings and temptations are also to be born and undergone. The hidden and non-visible or non-emerging lingering past karma subliminal impressions is not felt or vision. They are in the form of a seed. They are in a non-manifested form or non-emerging form. They have to be undergone and borne during the future life span.
The main causes of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow are the lingering past subliminal karma impressions that have to be borne during present or future life span of an embodied soul. The cause of lingering past subliminal karma impressions at the time of undergoing them unconsciously results in the birth of seed of further karma action and its consequences. There is a unconscious cause and effect relationship between these karma subliminal karma impressions and undergoing the consequences of karma actions. The seed once born further gives birth to karma subliminal impressions. It becomes a cause of the birth of an embodied soul. It is to be born in the future lives of the embodied soul.
The obtaining or the present subliminal karma impression is the seed of karma deeds, works or actions performed in the past lives of the embodied soul. This has to be undergone in the present or future life spans. The cause of the seeds of karma deeds, works or actions, which get borne unconsciously at the time of performance of karma deeds, works or actions, is craving and temptation, which is felt in the enjoyment of fruits and karma deeds, works or actions. The subliminal karma impressions or imprints of lust and have craving for enjoyment of fruits of karma action, is like the ball of seeds of karma deeds, works or actions, which keeps on rotating by itself. It gives birth to the seed of action. At the time of undergoing subliminal karma impressions, such a lust or craving gets born.
The lust or craving of karma action and craving for enjoyment of karma action get unconsciously born. This cycle of subliminal karma impressions is the cause of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow and afflictions in unconscious mind. This cycle is to be borne and undergone at the time of birth of craving and at the time of enjoyment of fruits of karma deeds, works or actions during one’s lifetime. The Great Sage Patanjali who is my Guru says that at the time of enjoyment of fruits of karma action of subliminal impressions, this cycle lies in craving and lust. When the thought is made lust free and craving free consciously and is restrained, it is then that distress; affliction, pain or sorrow or affliction is not experienced.
Both pleasure and pain become meaningless. The reason for the presence of lust or craving in the enjoyment of fruits of karma action on the thought is unconsciously affection or aversion or fear of the enjoyment of the fruits of karma deeds, works or actions. Self-ego is also its cause. When an embodied soul experiences himself as a separate and distinct entity from inner Self conscious that is outer part of soul essence that is only reality, it is due to the presence of lack of spiritual knowledge. This is because the attention of the embodied self-conscious remains focused in lack of spiritual knowledge during his innumerable lives.
If a person attains knowledge of lack of spiritual knowledge, his thought becomes craving free which results in restraining and nullifying his thoughts. It is then that thought free enjoyment of fruits of subliminal karma impressions which is to be enjoyed and undergone in this life or in the next life, is not undergone as distress, affliction, pain or sorrow but is undergone as free from seeds of karma deeds, works or actions. The thought free enjoyment also stops the taking of the future births. It further stops the formation of lingering past subliminal karma impressions for future lives.
The Great Guru Patanjali says that the main cause of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow is the lingering past karma subliminal impressions. As such, so long there are these karma subliminal impressions, so long there is merit and demerit, so long there is sin and piety, these karma impressions have to be undergone and experienced. Hence, distress, affliction, pain or sorrow -provoking thoughts have to be undergone according to these karma impressions. The flow of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow provoking thoughts is based on previous lives .As such the flow cannot be halted. The lingering past subliminal karma impressions has to be undergone at the right time during the present life span or the next life span.
They have to be undergone by all - whether gods or goddesses or sages or seers or Guru or Prophet or ordinary persons and all form of living being in universe. There is, no doubt, distress, affliction, pain or sorrow in undergoing the seeds of lingering past subliminal karma impressions which are undergone with craving or lust but it is not felt. The distress, affliction, pain or sorrow is undergone as pleasure. Secondly, the subliminal impressions craving free and lust free enjoyment, is free from the seeds of karma action, which purifies the future embodied lives. When the flow of subliminal karma impressions ends consciously, the embodied soul becomes a pure individual soul. It is then the individual soul gets liberated from the cycle of birth and death.
When the subliminal past karma impressions are undergone, the lust or craving is due to the embodied soul’s affection, aversion or fear for losing material things. Whatever affection, aversion or fear is there is due to the self-ego of the embodied soul. The self-conscious is to experience and feel the presence of the inner God essence. The soul essence is to experience its own reality and God’s reality and true nature essence as one. .
The cause of all this is lack of spiritual knowledge. Lack of spiritual knowledge is also outer part of spiritual knowledge. Attaining spiritual knowledge of lack of spiritual knowledge, the disciple automatically crosses beyond lack of spiritual knowledge and realizes its knowledge. Spiritual knowledge is not to be searched from outside matter word or Holy Scriptures that give mere indications or icons. No one can impart spiritual knowledge. The reason is that the Spiritual knowledge does not come in the grasp of words or intellect of Guru as well disciple.
When a human being’s concentration and meditation is focused on the satisfaction sensate pleasures, it is at that time that his concentration and meditation is focused on affection or aversion. It is at that time that the self-conscious of the living being is in the conscious mind. It is at that time that the individual soul manifests itself in the musical attribute of subtlest nature essence. It is at that time that it becomes aware and conscious of its own true existence. It is at this time that the self conscious of soul essence does enlightenment of its own experiences. The thought that is experienced is the existence of sensate pleasure.
The thought that is experienced is only external and is related to external information and intellect information of matter world. Such information comes within the grasp of words or language. Human being with his argumentative thoughts enters argumentative spiritual union and enjoys it. He experiences distress, affliction, pain or sorrow -provoking thoughts in their totality. The conscious mind in its thinking process enjoys guilt, restlessness and instability according to its past karma subliminal impressions.
When a human being’s conscious mind after shutting out the senses, is focused inside his mind and body and is centered on the thoughts of distress, affliction, pain or sorrow or happiness arising out of the unconscious mind. When a human being’s conscious mind meditate these thoughts through his natural bent of mind and inclination. It is then that the living being concentrates and meditates on his conscious mind. It is then that the conscious mind concentrates and meditate on his past subliminal karma impressions. It is then that the conscious minds concentrates and meditates on nature’s passionate attributes.
The thought of meditation that occurs in this state is affection, or aversion. Both appear meaningless. Whatever happens in this state is not believable. This thought that occurs is the feeling of meditation of the inner core of conscious mind. It is the manifestation of the natural bent of mind and inclination of the past lingering subliminal impressions. Whatever a human being experiences, it is the experience of the manifestation of spiritual union. It is not a manifestation of pain and pleasure. It does not lead even to worldly joy or pleasure. Here the very desire for a comfortable and enjoyment in life becomes meaningless.
When a human being’s mind descends from the conscious mind into unconscious mind, the mind experience of pleasure and pain, affection and aversion. When it goes in the inner core of conscious mind even the fear of death is lost. At this time the mind does not experience any waves of thought. Really the mind does not experience any waves or vibrations of thoughts in conscious mind. This is the last stage of the seeded spiritual union. Here the knowledge that gets attained about lack of spiritual knowledge is the subject matter of the thought of lack of spiritual knowledge only. The knowledge that gets attained is about the nature’s harmonious attribute.
The Great Guru Patanjali says that knowledge about thought of self-ego and knowledge about thought of lack of spiritual knowledge are to be attained by descending into this harmonious state of nature. It is by entering this state that the conscious mind concentration gets stabilized. It is with the attainment of self-realization that the knowledge gets attained about seeds of karma action for the lingering past subliminal impressions. These seeds have to be borne and undergone in the next life as lingering past subliminal impressions. It is only by attainment of their knowledge that these seeds get erased and eliminated. It is here that knowledge about lingering past subliminal impressions gets attained. These impressions have to be undergone in the present or in the next life. It is only on the attainment of knowledge of lingering past subliminal impressions that they get undergone automatically in a distress, affliction, pain or sorrow free form.
Reaching this state a living being’s desire for any other living being or for any other form of life becomes meaningless. Sufferings cannot be directly suppressed in any way. Suffering cannot be eradicated by any karma action so long as the root of suffering lies in the fruit of karma action or in the lack of spiritual knowledge of concentration. Lack of spiritual knowledge can be eliminated through self-discipline. Lack of spiritual knowledge can also be eliminated by meditation and by devotion to the inner formless God essence. When meditation and devotion are made to the formless God essence, the gateways to the elimination of lack of spiritual knowledge, they become a part and parcel of the eight-fold method yogic discipline. This discipline is to be practiced in a systematic and sustained manner. The Great Sage in step 29 gives a detailed exposition about it.
Knowledge about lack of spiritual knowledge that is to be attained and the knowledge that is searched for is to be consciously searched within one’s self-conscious. It is to be attained by meditation and by remaining in a state of silence. This is possible with the help of preparatory yogic discipline. The yogic discipline embodies the path of action, the path of knowledge and the path of devotion. Penance, self-concentration/ meditation and recitation of God’s true name indication or icon are to be undertaken in the preparatory yogic disciplines. These are to be undertaken as part of the eight-limbed yogic ladder of ascension.
During penance, the mind, body and breath are to be purified through the practice of the various limbs of yoga. These limbs are YAMA (restraint); NIYAMA (culture); ASNA (posture); PRANA (breath control) and PRATYHARA (withdrawal of senses). Purification is also to be attained by controlling and perfecting DHARNA (concentration) and DHYANA (meditation). It is during meditation that thoughts of unconscious mind and thoughts of unconscious mind’s affection and aversion and fear are to be stabilized and made to come to a stand still. It is by undertaking the recitation of inner formless God essence name indication or icon that entry is to be affected and gained into seeded spiritual union (Samadhi).
One’s concentration has to be made willing to do the God’s bidding. One is to accept to eradicate and eliminate one’s self-ego. The knowledge of lack of spiritual knowledge that gets attained during this state is called seeded spiritual union. This is the non-preparatory yogic discipline. It is by God’s mercy and grace that seeded spiritual union gets automatically attained. It is through faith, contentment and stability that seedless spiritual union gets attained.
What happens in the state of attainment of knowledge about lack of spiritual knowledge? The upper part of the unconscious mind, which is formless, is bound with the sense organs and the body. The inner part is wrapped around the self-conscious of soul essence. This is called the inner core of conscious mind. The depth and concentration of conscious mind is fathomless and limitless. It is as big as the expansion and height of the matter form of the universe. In fact the mind is the subtlest and awfully formless essence of true nature essence. It is wrapped around the self-conscious of soul that is flowing in endless living being of universe and accepts it as its master.
The nature’s subtlest true essence is born through the self conscious of soul in form of conscious mind of living being of universe. It is through out the soul that it is connected with the inner oneness of formless God essence that is central essence of universe creation and the supreme master. A human being’s mind can be divided into three parts. The outer part is called the unconscious mind; the middle part is called the conscious minds and the inner part is called the inner core of conscious mind or super conscious mind state. Craving lies immersed in the thoughts of the unconscious mind .It is craving which is responsible for rotating the wheel of past karma lingering subliminal impressions.
It is craving which is responsible for rotating the wheel of life and death in all living beings. The conscious mind is wrapped around the spiritual knowledge of self-conscious and with lack of spiritual knowledge. The reason for non-attainment of self-realization is that cravings are wrapped around the entire mind from top to the bottom in the form of a ball. The entire mind has adopted the three attributes of subtlest nature essence. They are SAT VIC (luminosity, serenity and tranquility); RAJAS (passion for action and motion) and TAM SIC (slothful for inactivity and inertia). This attribute possesses their special endless sub characteristics that make the mind function according to cosmic law. They also make the mind function according to their respective emerging characteristics.
The individual conscious mind possesses an one single self conscious. Wherever it gets focused, these attributes make the conscious mind function according to their respective emerging characteristics. The conscious mind has only one concentration. Wherever it gets focused the mind derives its knowledge or lack of spiritual knowledge from there. The mind concentrates and derives its spiritual knowledge and lack of spiritual knowledge, from the place where it experiences its realization or belief about knowledge or lack of spiritual knowledge.
Yoga Tip: - Select any one spiritual form & remain above any blind worship or superstition attached to it. Meditate on it with devotion regularly and consciously.
