Part 9
Translation: -
Attachment to life or fear of death is the subtlest affection that flows it since ages and is alike to the wise and the unwise.

Love and affection is natural force in all kinds of living beings of universe. And it does not spare even the scholars, sages and saints who are affected by desire to live like human being that are under lack of spiritual knowledge. Each of human being has had taste of death and dislikes it in deep conscious mind. Clinging to life and yearning, longing and desiring for its continuation is an apprehensive trouble. It flows by itself. This apprehensive trouble is as well experienced to the wise as to the unwise. Clinging blindly to life is a fact of life, which cannot easily be explained in words. Blind clinging to life or yearning, longing and desiring for life is another deep phase of lack of spiritual knowledge rooted up to inner end of conscious mind. This face of lack of spiritual knowledge is a dominant factor in the deep conscious mind of both the wise as well as the unwise human being.

Both the wise as well as the unwise experience all that is bestowed on this world by the inner true nature essence and all that which has been prevalent in this world since the lord created an embodied self conscious over soul. All that which comes from the lord’s subtlest nature essence and all that which has been in existence in subtle and matter world since the creation of life, is experienced by the wise as well as the unwise.

The wise as well as the unwise human beings experience all the bounties of the subtle nature alike. The sun shines equally on all forms of life in subtle and matter world. Both sages of seeded spiritual union as well as the ignorant experience the bounties of the subtlest nature essence. They are experienced by the wise as well as the unwise and foolish. Hence, the sages and the ignorant experience yearning, longing and desiring for life or clinging to life alike by the wise as well as the unwise.

The fear of death also is felt alike by the wise as well as the unwise. All living being in universe feels fear of death. It is felt by the wise and the unwise. The fear of death and the desire to remain alive, get eliminated only after the attainment of enlightenment. They get eliminated only after the attainment of seedless spiritual union. This is what the Great Sage preaches in this step of Meditation Practice of Yoga. Fear of death is felt by both the wise as well and the foolish. Fear of death gives birth to a distress provoking apprehensive trouble.

Due to lack of spiritual knowledge, human being’s unconscious mind does not experience the existence of soul in the form of a visionary. It is due to the predominance of self-ego that the self-ego regards self-conscious as self- body or self-ego. It is on the elimination of self-ego and on the elimination of lack of spiritual knowledge that fear of death and yearning, longing and desiring for life and the desire to commit sin, automatically gets eliminated. It is on the elimination of the self-ego and on the elimination of the lack of spiritual knowledge that the very desire to continue life in the world diminishes.

Fearless is an attribute of oneness of soul and God essence. It is only on the attainment of the self-realization that consciousness about fearlessness gets born. A disciple, who overcomes the fear of death and becomes fearless, automatically attains perfection of his seeded spiritual union. Love to self-conscious is the antidote of the fear of death. A person who gets immersed in and saturated in love for self-conscious, he automatically overcomes the fear of death. Absorption in the attribute of love of self-conscious, results contentment and piety for others.

Once a person absorbs the golden attribute of love self-conscious, he becomes self-contented. His attitude towards others also undergoes a radical change. A person, who generates and cultivates contentment for him and contentment towards worldly pursuits, cultivates piety for others. He automatically attains to the attribute of soul and God essence. Such a person virtually becomes Almighty fear-free, indestructible, and imperishable and not subject to birth and death. On reaching such a state, he automatically attains realization of true self conscious that is outer part of soul essence.

There after, he gets automatically ushered into seeded spiritual union, which is a preparatory yogic discipline. The Great Sage Patanjali says that it is by stabilizing the thought of the unconscious mind that soul’s self-conscious is felt. This self-conscious is felt in the seeded spiritual union, which is the preparatory yogic discipline. It is by undergoing the rigorous of preparatory yogic discipline that a disciple is able to cultivate and perfect his seeded spiritual union (Samadhi).

The preparatory yogic discipline has eight limbs. The first five limbs of preparatory yogic disciplines are YAMA (restraint); NIYAMA (cultivation of culture); ASANA (posture); PRANA (control and regulation of breath); and PRATYHARA (withdrawal of senses). The cultivation of preparatory yogic discipline necessitates the self-discipline. It is after the purification of the preparatory yogic discipline that entry is gained into self-concentration and meditation of the self-conscious. Thereafter, purification of the other two limbs of yoga that are DHARNA (concentration) and DHYANA (meditation) is to be undertaken. It is only after purification of the self-concentration and meditation on the self-conscious that recitation of true God’s name indication starts taking place. This happens during the last limb of preparatory yogic discipline. It is also during the last limb of yogic preparatory discipline that seeded spiritual union called Samadhi gets purified. It is after the purification of seeded spiritual union that non-preparatory yogic discipline is set in motion in order to attain seedless spiritual union. It is on the attainment of seedless spiritual union that realization of self-conscious, soul and God are bestowed on the disciple by the grace of God essence.

All the five types of thoughts of the unconscious mind provoke distress and are a cause of pain, unease or sorrows. The difference among them lies in their intensity, which varies from one type of distress provoking thought to another type of distress provoking thought. Some are more painful while others are less painful. Some generate more distress. Others generate less distress. Searching for happiness amongst the thoughts of pleasure giving subjects of the unconscious mind or dislike and hate to pain or unease giving subjects in the unconscious mind afflict pain, unease or sorrows in unconscious mind and generate to lack of spiritual knowledge.

This is because the unconscious mind does not have an independent existence of its own. It is because the unconscious mind of conscious mind is created in lack of spiritual knowledge by subtlest nature essence. It is according to the person’s self-ego and distress provoking thoughts that subtlest nature essence creates a situation or a state for repeating the lingering past subliminal karma impressions. There are five causes of the five pains, unease or sorrows and distress of the unconscious mind. They are lack of spiritual knowledge, self-ego, affection, enmity and fear of death. All the causes of the five distress-provoking thoughts are wrapped around on self conscious of the soul in the form of a ball in mind of living being that is part of subtlest nature essence.

The outer ball is the ball of enmity. This ball encompasses the ball of affection. It is by stabilizing concentration and meditation in the conscious mind that these balls are experienced. The ball of the fear of death lies within. The ball of self-ego lies in the conscious mind. Stabilizing the concentration and meditation in the conscious mind experiences both the balls of the fear of death and the ball of self-ego. Outside the conscious mind lies the ball of lack of spiritual knowledge. This ball is wrapped around the self conscious of soul in formless mind that is static in the inner core conscious mind. It is by stabilizing the lack of spiritual knowledge of the concentration in the inner core of conscious mind that its awareness is experienced. All the five balls regarding the causes of pain, unease or sorrows emerge out of the ball of lack of spiritual knowledge.

When spiritual knowledge dispels a disciple’s lack of spiritual knowledge, he automatically attains knowledge about self-ego, fear of death, affection and enmity. In case a disciple finds an obstacle in obtaining knowledge about lack of spiritual knowledge, it has to be attained consciously during concentration, meditation and seeded spiritual union. He should consciously concentrate on enmity, fear of death, self-ego and lastly on lack of spiritual knowledge. The preparatory discipline of yoga leads to the attainment of knowledge about lack of spiritual knowledge. The path of karma action, the path of spiritual knowledge and the path of devotion, are wrapped up in it. A disciple can start treading on the path in which he evinces interest. All the three paths lead to a single goal. The meditation practice of yoga is to be commenced from the path, which pleases the conscious mind of the disciple. It is because only a happy conscious mind is a stable mind. It is because a happy mind is a thought free mind. It is such a mind, which will gain entry into spiritual union with self conscious in purified conscious mind.

Yoga Tip: - Select any one spiritual form & remain above any blind worship or superstition attached to it. Meditate on it with devotion regularly and consciously. Here is offered an icon of spiritual painting of Baphomet .Baphomet name probably signifies Wisdom, Divine Harmony. Brought to Europe by the 13th century Temples, the mysterious deity Baphomet represents fertility and regeneration. Hands in mudra yoga point out the Gnostic oppositions of Light and Dark, good and Evil. This image of Baphomet incorporates the breasts of a nurturing mother, the caduceus of Divine Union, plus the star and torch of mystical illumination. The Inquisition demonized this unique image of redemptive power to diminish its mystic influence.
