Although some gem therapists prefer to tincture by 'charging' water with a stone's energies in Sunlight, in a similar fashion to the preparation of Bach flower remedies,most people associate crystal healing with the practice of laying the stones on the chakric or affected areas or simply holding them in their hands.

But before rushing off to buy a hand full of stones to apply to various parts of your body it is as well to realise that there certain preparations that need to be made for effective healing to take place. in fact, there three stages to the preparation process: selection, cleansing,and programming.
